I was there when protesters were pepper sprayed at Central Station on Saturday night. I want to clarify what happened as details have been misrepresented. The first and most important being the NSW Police’s assertion that the use of pepper spray was “appropriate”. It was not.

👇 this correspondence from sport australia to the minister is devastating. @senbmckenzie was strongly advised that what she was about to do was absolutely prohibited. @ScottMorrisonMP, there is no defence for #sportsrorts.

Well actually, Sport Australia did tell Minister McKenzie on 9 Dec 2018 there were problems with what she was doing. See SA’s Robin O’Neill's EMAIL: ‘you may choose to select those projects and fund them separately via a Ministerial Budget’ #sportsrorts #auspol @Paul_Karp

When Aus was threatened in the darkest hours of the GFC the Libs opposed our stimulus & during the debate Abbott & Dutton were on the grog in the dining room. Abbott slept through the vote. That is how serious Libs were about stimulus. #auspol 9news.com.au/videos/wayne-s…

Hi twitter. A general thread about a group calling themselves NSW Volunteer Firefighter's Association. They have been spreading the "greens to blame for fuel reduction" myth as well as claiming climate change has nothing to with increased fires. with @jommy_tee

The Volunteer Fire Fighters Association wants firies to at least get their expenses covered RFS boss Shane Fitzsimmons has lashed the VFFA, claiming he doesn't know much about them, "their motivations are really unclear." 10daily.com.au/news/politics/…

Listen up townies. You’re driving us nuts. Backburning is done by firefighters in a fire. Hazard reduction - ‘burn offs’, ‘controlled burns’ - is done to reduce fuel load BEFORE everything is on fire. Nobody resists it. And it’s a decision by fire control on local councils.

.@ScottMorrisonMP Where was hazard reduction resisted? By whom? You haven't backed it up with specific! Why?

‘“Accepting the science” no longer means believing in climate change, it means accepting that catastrophic events are on their way unless we act pretty much immediately.’ Absolutely crucial piece. smh.com.au/national/the-p…
