Heidi Matthews doesn't understand how war works, how peace deals work, I'd argue she has a one-sided, ideologically blinded view of international law and that drives what she posts here.
To date, this “ceasefire”/“peace plan” has nothing to do with the Palestinian people’s inalienable right to self-determination. “Phase 1” envisages the continued unlawful occupation of Gaza. Canada must start aligning its politics with international law.
The idea that Anita Anand would claim, as she did, that Canada worked closely with Rubio to get a peace deal is laughable. The Americans have been clear, our actions were a hinderance.
