I do not believe you’re ever fully “ready” for anything. Sometimes you just have to take a leap of faith and allow God to lead. You’ll learn as you go.
On Forbes’ biggest day of the year - the release of ‘30 Under 30’ - we have walked off the job in a 24-hour work stoppage in protest of @Forbes continued intransigence at the bargaining table and repeated labor law violations. (1/3)

The casting of The Idea Of You was just exquisite. Was surprised by how emotionally taut it was. It was well done! A fizzy watch with so much chemistry. We got to see that they actually *liked* and knew each other. And I like that they waited five years lol
Proud is an understatement!!!

Running to get that yearly subscription because it’s a GREAT deal and I absolutely love and respect what Essence is building under @itsnandibby’s leadership. But I would be remiss not to mention the revival of Sweet July Magazine (independently published; also Black-helmed).
Essence is the only Black-owned media magazine still on newsstands, we produce 6 issues a year with the hopes to get back to 12. I work directly with our publisher to do everything I can to make sure we are selling issues. This tweet means a lot.

Solidarity forever with my former colleagues @forbesunion. That newsroom is filled with brilliant, hard-working and incredibly talented journalists. They deserve a fair contract, and I'm so proud to see them fight for what they deserve ✊✊✊
I'm walking out with @forbesunion because I believe in EQUAL pay for EQUAL work. On average men in our unit make $11,300 more than women at Forbes. ✊ Please respect our picket line and sign our petition here: actionnetwork.org/petitions/sett…… #fedupwithforbes
