Why does rising JPY affect US markets? The yen carry trade. BOJ held rates lower than the rest of the world, so people borrowed yen to invest in US (and other) assets. Now Japan is raising rates and the trade is unwinding. Essentially the 2022 Fed pivot, but now it's the BOJ.
Never forget that days like today are precisely why we NEED #Bitcoin. Interest rate manipulation is governments centrally planning the price of money. It creates a single lever with systemic effects that ripple outward across the entire global economy.

Some people I talk to want to have a credit card like experience with #lightning, a plastic card they tap to pay with. I feel like that market is outdated. Whats the point when most people use Apple Pay or other phone payment methods nowadays? Curious what others think.
Most people keep a phone on hand but I guess if you didn’t want to bring around your phone, you could use a plastic NFC card. However, the NFC chip could just be put into a ring, bracelet, necklace etc instead. No more bulky wallet in your pocket.
