That's why posts like these absolutely annoy me the Todoroki family is one of my favorite aspects of the series because of how nuanced and complex it is but people always boil it down to just "Endeavor evil rest of the family is good and they should all hate him"

Deku's last words to AFO demolished his image of grandeur and revealed the hollowness of his life, while his last words to Shigaraki were reassurance that he /had/ made a difference and destroyed the old order of things. Poetry, man......
AFO spent his final moments in despair because his goal had no real meaning and devalued the relationship he cherished most to a mere possession. Shigaraki spent his at peace knowing he did all he could and that Deku saved him, still cherishing Spinner and the others as equals.
i always think about how much worry they probably carried for each other in missions because this was literally them in their first mission with barely knowing each other 🥹
