Only 45.7% of cardiac arrest (CA) patients are provided immediate care. Bystanders only use AEDs 18% of the time there is a CA. If an AED is used during a cardiac arrest the patient has 2.62x higher odds of survival. An athletic trainer can help with this in a HS setting.
