Business and right wing populists have a complicated marriage. Glen Morgan and Magnus have put together a whole OUP volume on it. My contribution looks at how Viktor Orban and his Romanian followers assembled a supporting bourgeois bloc. global.oup.com/academic/produ…
New paper out with @antongrau in @SF_Journal on the changes and stability of the Danish power elite. We show that while more than half of the around 400 people in the core of elite networks change from 2012 to 2017, the organisations remain the same A 🧵 academic.oup.com/sf/advance-art…

Forget interlocking directorates. The 16,500 top executives are linked to global audit and consulting firms, financial firms participating in a transatlantic banking alliance and US consumer goods conglomerates.@chellersgaard @antongrau@JacobAaLunding onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/gl…
.@mtobiasneely - these forces are not neutral. What happens on the ground for people in organizations and how they experience inequality are intertwined with broader social forces (studying the hedge fund industry). @MalissaAlinor @ASAnews
How do a small set of firms - career hubs - shape the global corporate elite? In a new paper out with the amazing Felix Bühlmann, @antongrau @JacobAaLunding we - as the first - map career networks of executives in the worlds 1,366 largest firms A 🧵 onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/gl…
This is work I am particularly proud of. A mapping of a globally integrative force in the business elite that points to a mechanism for ideological dispersion and social closure. Career networks is worth our attention.

Siger noget om kongehusets symbolske magt til @politiken At uddele ordner og kaste glans er en central del af statsmagten. Det har vi accepteret er udliciteret til en tilfældig familie. Det er et demokratisk problem. politiken.dk/kultur/art9165…
