The moment when during The Standup with @ThePrimeagen, @cmuratori pulls up an Amiga 2000 keyboard that just "happens to be" on his desk, because it's so amazing. Yes. YES. Thank you. 🥹 (Below is my desk, as illustration. Yes, I'm also a McIntosh user, running McOS. 😅)
I was actually 8. The computer was a Commodore 16, at school. BASIC, and the complexity of home computers was totally approachable. In fact, I was writing programs before I knew I was writing programs. It was literally a child's play. But also a bit mandatory for using the thing.
Genuine question: how did all of you at 12 (or whenever you first started coding) not get super overwhelmed when your first tried to make something simple on the computer and realized you needed so much background knowledge to even get started?
So I bought a Rejuvenator for my Amiga 1000, never had time to test it, so offloaded it to this guy 👇, to make it Internet-famous. I've seen the A1k working already with the Rejuvenator installed, heard the stories of getting it working, but still fun to watch. #amiga
