Leaving a DA relationship is stressful, contacting companies to sort out bills = ++worry. Being left with bills or joint accโ€™s that have been rinsed leaving victims to pay is not ok. Coโ€™s need DA specialists to help support victims from being financially controlled #domesticabuse

How is a qualified midwife financially worse off than when a student midwife? As a single parent paying mortgage and bills solely I am now needing to pay taxes I did not as a student and have a lower annual income with more responsibilities but rising bills! #nhs #livingcrises

The obsessive hatred of Meghan Markle is sickening to watch. The racism, misogyny, contempt and resentment for her means that people are deliberately overlooking the autonomy of Harry to leave his toxic situation to seek safety from what he knows happened to his own Mum.

Navigating the justice system is exhausting. Lack of communication, & misinformation a common theme. No wonder people give up. Every time Iโ€™m left chasing up and sorting mishaps normally after a meltdown to someone at the national contact centre.

Highly sensitive people feel everything on a much deeper level. We don't just experience your surface level emotions...we feel your energy shifts, intentions, judgments, lies and truths.

Non English speaking pregnant women are at greater risk of poor outcomes in UK. Using an interpreter services is important to reduce this. Having the ability to make informed choices about her own care is her human right. #maternity #HumanRights

#C4WillYoung incredible documentary about Will's brother's alcoholism and suicide. Exposing the lack of treatment available and the impact on loved ones of alcoholism. Moving and important.

14% of maternal deaths occur in women who have report IPV to healthcare professionals. What training & support do HCP have to enable them to support women who disclose DV? #domesticviolence #supportingwomen #supportinghcp

Lone parenting is lonely at times! Other times I โค๏ธ my own company. When there are extra stresses in life going on, evenings are over thinking sink holes! My mum stayed this weekend, itโ€™s the 1st in a long time I did not feel lonely. I cried when she left! #singleparenting

Having support from friends & family in a crisis is important. Knowing which of your support circle is your inner circle, who will listen, be non judgmental, respect your choices & will ride it with you is essential. #innercircle #friendship #respectivelysupportive

Why donโ€™t you just leave? Is one of the most upsetting questions for a victim of DV. Through love bombing Perpetrators make you believe they canโ€™t live without you. As abuse intensifies it then becomes apparent by leaving you are risking you life! #domesticviolence #domesticabuse

Just seen someone on Instagram using mayo to shine their plant leaves. Not sure whether to be envious or driven to get to a this point in my life. Having the time to do this surely equates to minimal stress & maximum zen #mayoforchips #shinyleaf #singlemun #studentmidwife #zen

Special measures including separated entrances & a screen to prevent a victim facing their perpetrator in a Non Molestation hearing should be a mandatory procedure by judicial system. Not for the victim to initiate & chase to make sure itโ€™s done. #nonmolestation #domesticviolence

Fear from trauma caused by perpetrators for several years doesnโ€™t disappear within 1 yr . A non mol is put in place due to the risks perpetrators impose due to abusive behaviours. Why after 1 yr are these risks any less & judges deem it fit to take it away? #domesticviolence
