Covid-19 vaccine: First person receives Pfizer jab in UK
Margaret Keenan, who turns 91 next week, becomes the first person in the world to get the jab as part of a mass vaccination programme, calling it the "best early birthday present".
Thank you to @swasFT staff for your support with the roll out of lateral flow testing. Since kits were available to collect for patient facing and hub staff on Friday, 1,231 kits have already been issued, with 262 test results reported back.
Over 85% of @swasFT staff & students have been offered a flu vaccination this year. Our target is 100% by the end of Nov. If you haven't already, please arrange to get one, otherwise let the team know if you would like to opt out. Thanks to all involved in organising locally! 👌

Final @swasFT flu vaccines delivery confirmed for next week. More flu clinics being planned. Over 60% of our staff and students have already been offered the flu jab.
So far 2,991 staff and students have been vaccinated. Thank you all flu leads and vaccinators across @swasFT we are over half way there already! For those who have an allergy to eggs, please speak to your GP to discuss the egg free flu vaccine and let the flu team know.
