the scarcest commodity in the world from a talent standpoint is probably product-sense and product-excellence
anybody can create monuments to appease their self-importance. but the difficulty of innovation is to create a monument that is self-sustaining. that creates so much value that people willingly make it keep working - for their own selfish interest
and you can see far ahead very early. the people who correctly predicted the likely run of events 100 years into the future did so because they went 100 years deep in the present. the deeper you go, the farther you see. and the earlier you see it.
greatness is to live a compelling and compressed life. a lot can be done with little, if it is directed at an inspiring target
