A friend in the UK sends me money every year on my birthday, this year I got tired of just wishing him a happy birthday and sent some money into his naija account. He said “I know You dey always think naira is nothing compared to pound but know you just paid my water bill…
One thing I find very funny is how people back home help you calculate how much you earn monthly? Especially when they know you work all round. “I’m sure you make over £2500 which is about 5 million Naira, parting with 100k (£100) shouldn’t be hard for you now” Ori e ti daru!
For me, life is the little things. How much everyone has really said really nice things to me these couple of days even if I'm not so good with keeping in touch. They see my heart, they see me for the period we share together and that's wholesome❤️
