learning while building • Enjoys cups of tea, Typescript, AWS and (sometimes) React
Issue with the @UKCivilService is that it thinks in terms of projects, not products. Projects are for building a bridge or a housing estate, they’re fire, minor involv and forget. Once it’s built it’s built. Products are something living and require continuously being improved
I think state pension in the UK should reflect that generations performance and legacy (currently low growth, low wages and stagnation) like how a private pension reflects the individuals lifetime performance
In the sense can you go and create something regardless of laptop, yes. But your tools affect your experience and productivity. A lumberjack with a axe and hand saw with have a vastly different experience to one with a electric chainsaw
Where did this culture of screenshotting text come from? Ask for a email addr - screenshot Ask for a reference number - screenshot Ask for for a project ID - screenshot Do these people not know about copy and paste so they don’t do it or expect that the receipt would Holy shit
Finding out these teams probably use sharepoint
What is worse: - finding out GitHub is owned by Microsoft. - finding out VsCode is owned by Microsoft. - finding out Typescript is owned by Microsoft.
My girlfriend talking about her day out at a different office where they had nice cakes, sandwiches and biscuits

What does ‘lifetime support’ for a monthly subscription website builder even mean
That’s actually Satya’s alt
Alive 2007 is the best album for listening to while coding, hands down
THEYRE DOING WHAT ON MY FREEDOM LOVINF SPACEX POST BOARD 😾

Dealing with windows at work feels like a forced lobotomy after using Omarchy the last 2 weeks
First day using omarchy, moved from pop_OS that had stock terminal, VS Code. Setup was easy with the manual Feels like a level up. Opens your mind to what you can customise, how you can level up your workflow. Just a great foundation for building. Cheers @dhh !
There’s studies on productivity using ai tools while coding but is there one for blasting the initial D soundtrack while coding?
