"It's good to be back," she breathes, tilting her head up to take in the sight of a large pterodactyl swooping in from above and a herd of brachiosaurus grazing near by. 𝗜𝘁'𝘀 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸.
It was a stupid thing to do. She didn't know what she was doing; she didn't have time to think, to prepare, to calculate the 𝖗𝖎𝖘𝖐𝖘. But she did it anyway. Oftentimes, Claire will just do it anyway.
It's been a long few weeks at work for her, running around putting out fires (or 𝖈𝖆𝖚𝖘𝖎𝖓𝖌 them) and trying to be good, be better—be the 𝚋𝚎𝚜𝚝. Claire always wanted to be the best, even if she knew she never could.
"Where--" Claire shrieked, eyes glinting, "is my 𝘥𝘢𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵𝘦𝘳?"
