I actually got time today, and the Mayor of Dallas standing by markers of enslaved people without even a mention of the legacy of enslavement in Dallas, Texas pissed me off. Here is a little thread about slavery in Dallas County 🧵
This is the work of @RBDallasHistory. I voted on these markers as part of the Dallas County Historical Commission. I actually sent that Jane Elkins marker back for revisions because it was missing vital information. @CityOfDallas has done little to address its legacy of slavery.
