Came across this new-to-me coastal monitoring system while poling around the York River area
Analyzing results from a recently completed data-driven sea level rise vulnerability analysis for Puget Sound. Places like this, on the west side of Whidbey Island, knock the index out of the park. I can't say I'm surprised.
These sorts of massive reconfigurations of the nearshore are ubiquitous in urban areas of the Salish Sea and they are, to this day, key drivers of ecosystem function and coastal climate vulnerability
