Installed a 1TB hard drive and booted up this Prodesk 400 G4 I scored off Facebook marketplace and everything seems in working order. Adding this one to the home lab soon 🙂

Might have a problem 🤣 this also doesn't fit the rack my other server is in so now what?

Home lab is moving along nicely. Installed the RAM upgrade to 32Gb. Switched OS a few times to try out different ones. Tried Ubuntu server, Debian Server and now Unraid and I think I'm gonna stick with Unraid. It's incredible.
Phone upgrade ordered. Z Fold 7 incoming soon, I can't wait!
The mini rack for the home lab is coming along nicely. Test fitting the mini PC. The test fit video was before the rear support was finished printing seen in the other photos.

I think Next.js, Supabase, Shadcn and the like have taken over in popularity of tech stacks the last couple years. What's your underrated tech stack to build with?

Threw together a PR today that just refactored some of my teams unit tests to use it.each when able for very similar tests and pitched it as an opportunity to DRY up some of our repetitive code. It's not a crazy refactor but removes some code and makes things cleaner.
Attempting to do some unit test clean up this morning across some massive Jest test files. Curious to see if there's any duplicate tests or ways to reduce these file sizes.

Went to see Freakier Friday in theaters and honestly really enjoyed it. It felt true to the original but didn't feel forced and I enjoyed it way more than I expected to.
Some good nuggets of information i've learned from Tony Dinh's indie book so far. Would recommend.
Github recently crossed 20 million all-time users but also is getting more deeply ingrained with Microsoft following the CEO stepping down. Given my experience with the quality of Microsoft products I do worry what that might mean for the future of Github sometimes.

I recently decided it was time I actually tried to at least learn how to use Vim. Working through a Vim Masterclass course on Udemy that has been pretty helpful so far. Drop your favorite Vim features 👇
