I decided that this month I'll be doing #codetember (made up my @oluoluoxenfree !). One month of learning and doing every day.

It's hard and scary for me to commit (ba dum tsh) to longer objectives, but a tidy 30 days starting now seems very doable. LETS GOOOO

#codetember day 1: Working on first website from scratch!

#codetember day 2: put lots of css into my site... and it looks like a real site!??? That someone would go to??? Crazy... love this feeling of creation 🤲🏼❣

#codetember day 3- refactoring website- the code I wrote last night at 1am was... yeah... but with fresh eyes I made it better ❣ #CodeNewbie #enbyswhocode #WomenWhoCode

#codetember day 4: learning about forms and http and servers and browsers and web apps. I don't know what I was expecting here but damn, this stuff goes DEEP. Gonna break this into multiple days cuz...🤪 #WomenWhoCode #enbieswhocode #CodeNewbie

#codetember day 5: Made a little web app-- used python and HTML together for the first time, it blew my mind! this is that "fullstack", huh... #enbieswhocode #GirlsWhoCode #CodeNewbie

#codetember day 6: introduced a bug in the code of my side project 🙃 it's cool..... I didn't need it to work anyway........ thank you Ms. Version Control... (it's 1am it's time for bed🤪)

#codetember day 7: studied more about Flask and what it is and what it's for. The syntax didnt make sense at first but I watched a few videos and achieved understanding!

#codetember day 8: I rested because my brain needed a break. Knowing when to rest is important in keeping up momentum 🌸

#codetember day 9: learned all about form inputs, and finally understood a flask concept that didn't make total sense before. Python and html are starting to flow together now, in a beautiful way. I've been inspecting random websites I go to now too LOL🤓

#codetember day 10: getting my hands dirty with Flask, cursing, making mistakes, and then, understanding. Started a dummy form project!

#codetember day 11: more workin with flask. Hit a roadblock when trying to use my stylesheet, after googling for hours I decided to ask for help. But my first little web app project is almost done 🙏

#codetember day 11: more workin with flask. Hit a roadblock when trying to use my stylesheet, after googling for hours I decided to ask for help. But my first little web app project is almost done 🙏

#codetember day 12: server-side validation, client-side validation, fool-proofing, escaping.... correcting for human ideosyncracies

I got quite behind on logging because I've been SWAMPED with new concepts at bootcamp- let's recount. #codetember day 13: Validation field practice and refactoring the depreciated stuff that I was taught in class (cgi? Yikes!)

#codetember day 14: More field practice with server side validation. My code broke, seriously, but was able to figure out the concept I wasn't getting with get and post requests.

#codetember day 15: Took a day to be frustrated that the CSS wasn't working with flask after frantic googling for 30 minutes and asking anyone I know who's ever touched a keyboard LOL

#codetember day 16: LONG day. Was really busy at work from 7-5 and then coding in library from 5:30-10. Learned templating, fixed my CSS problem, and started work on a small project to make a user login page with all my validation stuff.

#codetember day 17: finished my user login page (and made it cute too.) Refactored some old classwork to be tighter. Kind of interested in validation and security👀 but that will be for later as we're quickly moving on to database!

#codetember day 18. My seat at the library is getting an imprint in the shape of my butt. #SQL drills for 2 hours straight. I close my eyes and see the words" SELECT * FROM customers;" burned onto the backs of my eyelids... #CodeNewbies #WomenWhoCode #enbieswhocode

#codetember day 19: honestly most of my "coding" time was spent trying to get mamp to work on my ancient computer. After 1.5ish hours of frustration after bootcamp I decided to take a break LOL.

#codetember day 20: Catching up on SQL stuff and using MAMP. D

#codetember day 21 & 22: I rested as to not neglect the loved ones in my life. I worked really hard last week, so the brain needs a rest! I did try to sneakily learn about SQL joins while working my bartender side job tho....

#codetember day 23: More SQL and MAMP exploration. I'm working on a simple to do list app and it is VERY exciting to see data show up in the mySQL gui. Maybe more exciting than it should be....

#codetember day 24: finished up the todo app! It's dirty, but functional.

#codetember day 25: Refactoring, refactoring, refactoring... it feels like cleaning out my car, LOL. Comments and all. #WomenWhoCode #EnbiesWhoCode #mysql

#codetember day 26: impulse bought my first domain. Offered to build a simple static site for my friend in a manic frenzy. Realized I've only ever published to github pages. This part of the process I guess... lol #WomenWhoCode #enbieswhocode #bluehost

#codetember day 27: ran into some classmates while doing coding hw, ENDED UP JOINING A HACKATHON TEAM???? And our app idea like... IS COOL?? And I mapped out the interface????!??!?!? AND THEN ONE OF THE COACHES WALKED IN?????🤯😱🤯😱🤯 #WomenWhoCode #enbieswhocode #CodeNewbie

#codetember day 28: here at #DevFest19 and I'm so excited to see what the community has to offer!! I'm already having a great time 💗 #DevFestMiami

#codetember day 29: a little project to practice database stuff by building a simple blog platform. usin #flask #sqlalchemy #python and of course #html and #css3 ~ I'm putting emphasis on commenting my code today! #WomenWhoCode #EnbiesWhoCode
