Proud to say I just used binary search for the first time in real production code. I am I using it to find the closest longitude and latitude of a user-input address within a large database of addresses sorted by longitude and latitude. Starting to feel like a real software…

Due to events in my personal life, I've had to take a step back from posting for the past month or so. But I'm happy to say that I'm back now and I'm ready to continue making cool websites for everyone to enjoy

Is anyone familiar with uploading and retrieving images from MongoDB? I'm starting to use the GridFS library but it's been challenging so far

Is producthunt overrated? I recently heard someone say posting to producthunt is “false productivity”. How does @ProductHunt really impact your product journey? LMK

I want to give a big thank you to everyone who has used my music stats website (music-stats.netlify.app). The response has far exceeded my expectations for this being one of my first real projects

Does anyone have an alternative that they prefer to Material UI? To me it seems like the gold standard, but I would want to know if there's something better

I think I’m starting to realize that I like backend development much more than frontend. With backend, it’s very clear when you’ve accomplished the task set out for you. With frontend, it’s never hard to find someone who dislikes your design and wants it done a different way

Today, I took part in my first compensation negotiation for the retreats worldwide website I've been building. Definitely a learning experience - I think I messed up a few times, but that's to be expected. Still worth celebrating progress!

What database schema visualisation tools do you all use? I have tried some diagram websites, but I think there ought to be something better.

How do you know whether its lacking product market fit or simply not enough people have seen it? Where do you draw the line?

My current project is an Airbnb style site, specializing in group retreats. This is the first project I'm implementing material UI, and so far I'm loving it

I just started building my first project for a business partner, and I am so excited! It was pure luck that I came into contact with them, but I am determined to make the most of it More details to come

I don't know who needs to hear this. Do not quit. Do not quit. Do not quit. Do not quit. Do not quit. Do not quit. Do not quit. Do not quit. Do not quit. Do not quit. Do not quit. Do not quit. Do not quit. Do not quit. Do not quit. Do not quit.

The path to success is not linear, it's exponential. Remember that next time you feel like you're never going to make it

I was at the gym recently, talking about my software projects with a friend, when a random person heard our conversation and asked if I wanted to be their business partner for the software side of their startups. If I hadn't been improving my skills for the last year, I would've…

I've got the functionality for my crime app pretty much down - now I just need to make it look pretty. But given the subjective nature of appearance it seems to take just as long as backend setup
