Studied some statistics with Python today. Theory and foundational stuff. Remain mindful of assumptions when making a good model.
Been away from Twitter for a while, just coding and learning on my own. Learned a lot from Twitter, so now I'm back for more self accountability! Feeling good about graph theory and OOP today, material is starting to flow a lot more smoothly.
Started off with some Big O thoughts with my coffee today. In #AtomicHabits , the author talks about getting 1% better each day. After 365 days, that translates to ~37x improvement. At 100 days, it's ~2.7x improvement. This is the end of my #100DaysOfCode #100DaysOfPython 🎉🐍🙇♂️
Day 99 Back to liking pandas again. Such a beautiful library. Stay tuned for next week when I'm pulling my hair out again. Also got to some new data structure material, learning about stacks, queues, linked lists. #100DaysOfCode #100DaysOfPython
Day 98 Didn't feel like I've gotten much done today. Kept on working on the Nobel prize data analysis. Did a power set problem. I'll sleep soon and get more done this weekend. #100DaysOfPython #100DaysOfCode
Day 97 Worked on Nobel Prize Analysis with pandas. Worked on data science course - covered something about graphs, nodes, optimizations, power sets. #100DaysOfPython #100DaysOfCode
Day 96 I always seem to have problems with IntelliSense on vscode - I'm not sure why I needed to change language servers again - oh well. Anyway, enrolled in data sci with Python course and did some Big O and greedy algorithm analysis. #100DaysOfPython #100DaysOfCode
Day 95 I'm liking the book version of HTDP, so I've been working through that today. Did more Python OOP, I feel like pandas and Numpy making more sense. Data sci tomorrow. #100DaysOfPython #100DaysOfCode
Day 94 Worked on How to Design Programs some more. Answered some Python related problems on OOP. I feel like some of this stuff is starting to click again. #100DaysOfPython #100DaysOfCode
Day 93 Just watched some edx lectures today about the coding of simple data. Answered some Python questions earlier. #100DaysOfPython #100DaysOfCode
Day 92 Was working on visualizing film production costs and gross revenue today with pandas and seaborn. Also doing some class work. #100DaysOfPython #100DaysOfCode
Day 91 Read parts of the Python Crash Course book, did a few lessons of Data Structures on SoloLearn, and just started reading about DFS and BFS. Tomorrow I'll focus on a project. #100DaysOfPython #100DaysOfCode
Day 90 Completed Intermediate Python Course on SoloLearn, which is basically just a handful of extra exercises. Spent a bit of time searching for some good open source repos to read - not finding the usage that I need for learning yet. #100DaysOfPython #100DaysOfCode
Day 89 Grinding through the built-in python libraries and a project to learn a thing or two. Also did some intermediate SoloLearn. #100DaysOfPython #100DaysOfCode
Day 87 Worked through a chunk of SoloLearn Python today - about 80% done with Python Core. I hadn't seen the regular expression library before today, but will come in handy. re.match re.search re.findall #100DaysOfPython #100DaysOfCode
Day 86 Made some small updates to a Python script. It's useful enough as it is, but it could use some improvements. #100DaysOfCode
Day 85 I'm so rusty on linear algebra, I'll practically have to start from scratch if I want to learn this stuff properly. Numpy hard, me caveman. Read a large portion of a chapter on OOP, spent good time studying FOSS code 🔨 #100DaysOfPython #100DaysOfCode
Day 84 Learning NumPy, currently a little boggled by multiple dimensions. Well, baby steps. Also played around with OOP a bit, and I feel a little bit better about OOP now. Attributes, methods and dunder making more sense now. #100DaysOfPython #100DaysOfCode
Any Women of Color looking to break into a career in DevOps/Infra/SRE? I would like to share a network with you who is looking to hire Entry Level/Mid/Senior Engineers. Let me know! #WomenWhoCode #womenintech #BlackTechTwitter #WomenInSTEM
Day 83 - Tinkered with vscode - Went back to try and refactor/understand an old program from previous class - Still trying to consolidate my data analysis days, I'm feeling some love/hate atm lol #100DaysOfPython #100DaysOfCode
