Codex is exceptionally brilliant, did all the tasks I wanted it to do in one shot. The downside? It’s painfully slow but I guess that’s the price to pay for its context gathering ability.
GPT-5's major weakness right now is it's token throughput But it seems like a reasonable tradeoff if AI programming is becoming more of asynchronous assignment of task as opposed to merely coding assistance
Noticed this as well, hence why I keep moving to Claude, but I guess you can change the model and get a faster response
Aside from refactoring and reviewing PR what other things you use it for ?
