I'd say one should think about quitting their job to do their own thing only when they have: - really really strong skills in one or more areas - more than 12 months worth of savings - already some side income from what they want to do full-time They minimise the risks this way.
ChatGPT's made entering coding easier. You can discuss code with it and rarely need to speak with a developer at all. If you really stuck, then an experienced dev can mean wonders, but it'll take a while to get there. Lots to learn in the start of the journey. Keep going.
