If you're a "senior" on a team & think you'll have to do 50% of the work yourself, my advice is to do _none_ of the work yourself. Instead, spend your time helping the "juniors" do the work. You'll find the overall work will go much faster because everybody becomes better faster.
AzurePipelines #vscode extension is so great, but hasn’t been ported to #visualstudio? Seems like a ripe opportunity…
My observation is that the people-vs-productivity curve looks like this. The question is where that corner is. I've seen no formal studies, but my guess is that Dunbar's number (~150) applies. Wouldn't be surprised if it was _much_ lower, though. 1/1
"We can't be agile, we're way too big. We've got to adapt it to the 'real world'." "So, do something about that." "I just said we're too big." "Yes, so do something about being too big. What are all those people _doing_ anyway?"
Tried today to change a pool owner in #azuredevops 2019 only to find that it lets you but doesn’t tell you it doesn’t do anything. Tired through API, same. Thanks for the great error message! /sarcasm

I must say that Kotlin has completely destroyed any interest in Java. They spend a decade screwing around arguing about a single feature which, when finally implemented, is implemented badly. (Java lambdas were a huge disappointment.) I’m pretty much done with Java. Ehhh.
⏱️ Just ten more days until the release of @java 17, the next version with long-term support! To shorten the waiting time a bit, I'll do one tweet per day on a cool feature added since 11 (previous LTS), introducing just some of the changes making worth the upgrade. Let's go 🚀!
A squat rack is really a physical therapist, psychiatrist, chiropractor, prescription drug plan, wellness / life coach, fountain of youth, butt enhancement surgeon and retirement wealth booster all in one. A pretty good deal for a few hundred bucks all-in.
The simplest way to feel twice as rich is to want half as much
Plan enough to start, not enough to finish. Once you've started, leverage what you've learned to plan enough to start the next step.
