We did it. We built Cursor for Google Docs. Introducing TypeOS.
1/9] edit your docs in natural language TypeOS edits directly on the doc in suggestion mode, so you can accept/reject individual changes or everything at once.
2/9] grade your paper > gives feedback directly on the doc with comments and small edits in suggestion mode > asks you for a rubric, to give you a grade prediction > reviews your work like a peer reviewer would
3/9] format a doc in natural language TypeOS changes the spacing, fonts, alignment, indentation, color—pretty much anything. It can even reformat things into lists, tables or codeblocks
4/9] create docs with complex layouts, tables, images, codeblocks, lists, you name it.
5/9] it works in Youtube too, and across the web > don't wanna watch a 2 hour video? ask TypeOS about it > make notes based on it straight to your Google docs, in the format you want > makes notes based on it straight to your Google docs, in the format you want
6/9] record lectures and meetings TypeOS turns your Google Doc into an AI notepad, listening and drafting perfectly formatted notes right to your doc if you missed anything.
7/9] generate images directly in your doc > visualizes any complex topics in your notes > makes your docs beautiful without ever switching tabs
8/9] test your knowledge with flashcards and quizzes > study with built-in interactive tools, based on your notes > no more "let me upload my notes to this ai study tool"
9/9] research tools are built-in TypeOS searches the web to find the most relevant and reputable sources, then synthesizes them together in the perfect format. > no more switching tabs > no more copy pasting from chatgpt > no more losing your doc's formatting
we built what gemini in google docs should've been. soon, education as we know it will become obsolete. the real world will only increasingly value output. typeos is the future of how people learn and work. anyone can be an expert. typeos.com
comet, dia, atlas all fail at this one simple task doing a side by side comparison soon
The video is cool but I'm not sure how this is any different than just vanilla chat interface? With claude artifacts I can also make a doc with elements and edit them?
Wondering who is the video creator team behind this, they made really good job👏 Soon, Startup founders will have to make videos of such good quality to convince users or VCs that @Netflix might want to make spinoffs from them or insert it in a such subtitle way that nobody…
based launch video mate love your value prop' w/ TypeOS let's launch/spotlight you on microlaunch.net when it helps btw
Why does it sound like they have AI voices? People's don't talk like this.
Looks great! Nice work! Just my opinion. This should be a separate writing tool as these ai browsers might take over the Google docs editing actions. Also, rename to something loosely related to writing, eg. Typeface. Beautiful video and demo ❤️
appreciate the opinion, but startups would never be built if they thought "what if x incumbent replaces us" + using a browser agent to control your document editor is like using a computer-use agent to control your code editor.
