#2020 Had different plans for me than I expected. Sheeesh. Coding is still the dream. Stay health and safe, one and all!

#HTML Some basics on use of span and div tags. Nice basic block vs. inline tags, I guess.

OMWord. I have veered off schedule. Solved a totally noob "duh" html thing yesterday at work. My i tag was not working within my h3 tag. Anyway.....thirsty for getting back on #freeCodeCamp regimen soon.

#CSS #CSSTricks Marking properties as "at risk" is a lil' worrisome. What does that mean in terms of achieving this basic textual control ... Also properties that work in pairs is interesting. What are other examples, I wonder. #CodeNewbies css-tricks.com/almanac/proper…

#CSS I'm learning about calculated vs actual display values of text.

#CSS Got a chance to finally use some paged media tips from O'Reilly on a PDF I needed to make. Incremental progress. Work/Job. Personal growth. Repeat. #100DaysOfCode #freeCodeCamp

#100DaysOfCode #freeCodeCamp Back in CodePen. Looks like I'm going to have to go through these tests/projects more than once.

Spent time yesterday looking at paged media in CSS -- tks O'Reilly, css-tricks, David Walsh (.name), sitepoint, matuzo (.at).

Busy week+ at work and trying to get out of what started as a CSS reading effort (but became just reading) & to get back to my #freeCodeCamp projects. Tho it doesn't count, I do get some PHP coding time in at work, so yay there. #100DaysOfCode

I love publishing! Not seen one of these in the wild in years, but I offer as inspiration for myself and (if I'm lucky) others who love the creativity of electronic ink and fluid minds! Enjoy everyone! We can learn and relearn and update our understandings! We can do this! 📰

#100DaysOfCode #freeCodeCamp Today's extra coding time went to the topic of #CSS units of measure. Relative units always were completely unclear 2 me, tonight they are clearer. Getting at how it all literally hangs together.

#100DaysOfCode #freeCodeCamp Reading to understand specificity, inheritance in #CSS. Looking to find the rhyme and reason among a sea of value declarations. To this noob, the css seems flat. Yet... it is a powerful language all its own.

#100DaysOfCode #freeCodeCamp Well...still working on those images, but meanwhile, the product better reflects my intended manipulations. "Design" feels a bit of a distant dream.

#100DaysOfCode #freeCodeCamp Tried closing space between two images in a CSS grid tonight and ... well ... I'll be at it again tomorrow.

#100DaysOfCode #freeCodeCamp Phew. I'm just starting to get results working with grid. And starting* with #CSS rather than HTML....I'll take a win of whatever size.

#100DaysOfCode #freeCodeCamp I say to myself, "Maybe, just maybe*, starting with the CSS rather than the HTML will support my focus on CSS." It's a mindset @@

I feel like the 1990s called and wants back its flashing rainbow shadow box font. #freeCodeCamp #100DaysofCode Trying to stay focused on the principles of CSS as a tool, not content dev or graphic design -- despite their intimate entanglement. Hunkering down. Holding on! 💻💿

#100DaysOfCode #freeCodeCamp A LOT of tinkering today. I'm on like plan C for the landing page. Keep it goin'!
