I planned on going back to class 16 #100Devs starting tonight. Instead of that, I'm wiping NEARLY everything from my computer. Actually, I am and just starting fresh. New beginnings. Here we go again ๐ค
I've been going through learning how to set up the Jekyll SSG the last couple of days after I'm home from work. Then, I'll feel a bit more ready to start my portfolio.
Spent yesterday on my FCC Tribute Page. It's complete and passed all the tests. Gotta fix the css though. It looks different on a different computer ๐
Progress has been molasses slow lately. Decided to watch some RapidApi tuts and followed one for Nodejs to make a Dino Generator. Then, that API isn't on Rapid anymore..idk wth I'm really doing so I'm hiding back in a hole now, learning about APIs from @leonnoel.

My washer is freaking out because I'm washing my blankets today..she shakes and makes alot of noise. So to save the wall I'm sitting on the washer lid. Much better. Washing with cold water makes the top very cold to sit on ๐คฃ

Finally installed Vanilla OS on my VM last night. I know what I'll be doing today! Devs, do you think Linux experience is *shiny* on a resume? It's been a goal of mine since HS. I thrived in it and I'm craving to learn more and get better. HS was 2000-03๐คญ

What is the most important/fundamental thing that you should learn when going into Back-end from Front-End? Where do I start?

Do you think an employer will expect more in a beginner Web Dev portfolio from a grown adult(35-40years) than from someone just out of college? Is there a higher bar to meet?
Wanting to focus on learning a stack instead of random languages/frameworks/libraries. Otherwise I feel like I'm going in blind, like no GOAL. SO, UP NEXT along side React which I'm getting the hang of, I want to focus on a database of sorts.?.for beginners & small scale, advice?
I've been taking a much needed break from learning. I'm ready to get back to work though! BEFORE the new year starts.
