7 thought-provoking to help you think about life, work and happiness. 1. The more you read the less you tolerate being distracted.
If your default pattern is: - “I’ll plan when I have time.” - “I’ll rest when everything is done.” - “l’ll prioritise my self after serving everyone else.” That’s the signal to make a change.
Intentional rest is rest that you plan on purpose. Not because you’re drained out, but because you want to be more present.
Time-Rich moms aren’t perfect. They still have messy days. But the difference is: They pause. The adjust. They remember their anchor. And return to calm.
A system is a repeatable routine that: - reduces decision fatigue - manages emotional clutter - saves you time, effort and energy
Take 3-minutes to check in with yourself. Your mood, your energy, and your capacity. Now plan the rest of your day from a place of clarity.
“Distraction remains a destroyer of depth.” Carl Newport
Time-rich doesn’t mean: - being productive - ticking off every task - working endlessly from sunrise to bedtime Time-rich means you know what matters most in your day, you take a break before it's due, and you wind down earlier in the day so you can start well tomorrow.
Rest isn't something you earn after doing enough. Rest is something you build into your day so that you can do enough.
Set realistic goals each day. The worst part is planning too much. And not doing what you said you would. Then letting your unpleasant emotions get the better of you. So you begin to drain yourself and can’t even think about getting up to start the process again.
The best way to develop self awareness is to go out in nature daily. Every time you give yourself an opportunity to see the tiny changes around you. This in turn helps you notice the tiny changes inside of you.
Progress happens when you take action. Little progress comes from small actions. Predictable progress requires planned actions.
