I just don't think learning how to code is the right skill to learn first anymore. Networking is really where anyone should start when it comes to being in the cloud. I've seen way more networking incidents than code related issues in my short time in the cloud.
Your ability to think, ask questions, take action and endure will be the true stills of the future.

I've seen a lot of people asking "why does everyone think Twitter is doomed?" As an SRE and sysadmin with 10+ years of industry experience, I wanted to write up a few scenarios that are real threats to the integrity of the bird site over the coming weeks.
