Remembering my paternal grandfather JWG Holt who my father never met and wondered about all his life. He survived WW1 but irrevocably changed mentally & physically by it. Totally disappeared from the family record in 1920/21 to be found in a Sussex cemetery this year.
Listening to Hawkwind on the Freakzone (via iPlayer) @BBC6Music & struck by how much this version resembles Charles Grey doing the Timewarp in the Rocky Horror Picture Show. Might they be related @StuartMaconie ?

Appears Stagecoach will no longer be running the 375 route - being transferred to @littlegembus. I guess, but don't know, tickets will not be transferable so probably no hopping onto faster buses in Marple neither do I know implications for schoolchildren using 375. Be aware!
Consider supporting local music @manc_collective by buying I was at one of the original live concerts and though the elements are diverse, the combination of Bach, Ligeti etc. works & with a track available for free and the EP cheap, what's the risk?

Via Mellor church: The decision by GM Combined Authority Transport Committee to stop funding the 375 bus leaves Mellor without public transport. On Sat. 14th March at 10.00 the Mellor Society will hold an open meeting in Mellor School on Knowle Road to discuss the implications.
Never in my wildest dreams did I consider the existence of maple leaf tempura, let alone eat it, till yesterday. Obviously led a very sheltered existence.
For all who are local to me please note that there is a proposal to withdraw the 375 but service in Mellor or massively change its route. This has not been well publicised but the Marple website has the details. Need to act now.
