My measure of codebase quality these days is almost entirely "how easy is it to change". So readability is key, and also making sure that changes have to touch as few places in the code as possible.

The productivity boost from working remotely does not come from replacing all those in-office meetings with a bunch of video calls. It comes from turning all those meetings into write-ups instead. Status updates, pitches, ideas. Write. Them. Down.
One core metric I use for #DigitalTransformation is the ratio of people creating work to the ones doing work. The results are shocking, in many organizations you can find 5x - 10x if you don't count externals.
