remember that queer people are still being murdered everywhere for just being "queer" and it's still a crime yo be "queer" in multiple countries. every queer representation matters, and demanding it to mainstream media would never be wrong
the saddest part is how the duffers ended up not understanding their own show at all. like we never wanted the seasons to be ”bigger” than the ones before. we just wanted this.
So what's the message of this show that is apparently for the "outcasts and freaks"? Who are they uplifting? Because it ain't the following: - women - lgbtq+ community - abuse survivors - people struggling with mental health WHO IS THE TARGET AUDIENCE?
on a serious note, i hope this new year is gentler and kinder to you. you really do deserve so much love and joy in your life, don't let anything make you believe otherwise <3
