Finding the whole keep X updated on what I’m building thing to be time sunk. But I have pivoted to from consumer to more technical that I’ll be building in stealth for now.
does anyone else's idea evolve the more you work on it? Is that a bad thing? I know there is the culture of build and ship fast, but I refuse to ship garbage.
This is such important advice. It can reduce launching your app into a quiet void
If you’re launching your first app, remember this: Don’t just build, distribute. Even the best product needs attention. Your onboarding isn’t just a screen, it’s your first impression. Get that wrong and nothing else matters. Paid traffic only works when your retention does.…
Caring less about the followers and more about the delivery. This weeks goal is to create the waitlist
I don’t use @lovable_dev much because I find it can’t handle the more complicated designs I need. But I DO love it for creating simple shareable sites like this itinerary I just made for my group trip. Friends are amazed thinking it took a lot of work. Only took me <30 mins
Day 12 of building a self-growth app ✅ Started consolidating a news and posts feed into one screen to keep things simple for users, but decided to keep it separate & let user feedback guide what works best. Working name is Moonshot...not sure how I feel about it. Thoughts?
What are your best tips for improving the UI of a vibe coded app?
I live in a one bedroom in Midtown Manhattan and do not anywhere near $4400 in rent lol
Rent on a two bedroom apartment in San Francisco up 17.6% year over year
I’m pretty much done with all my features, now I’m just fixing bugs and going to clean up the design a bit. Really striving to finish v1 before the end of month
Day 11 of building a self-growth app ✅ Fixed my main functionality after banging my head against the wall ✅ 18 followers! Not sure if I'm hitting 100 by Nov 😂 Had a few days where I almost gave up but I'm too obsessed
I think OpenAI will release their own phone and computer within the next few years
I’ve built so many things but never launched. Really excited to change that. Even if it flops, I’ll be ecstatic having shipped something on the market :)
Day 6 of building a self-growth app ✅ built out community features ✅ worked on gamification aspects Had a busy day of classes, speaker talks with the CPO of OpenAI, and alumni investors. But still found time to work. Building as I learn, learning as I build
Building while in school is hard, now I see why people drop out…
Day 4 of building a self-growth app ✅ fixed core feature functionality ✅ realigned myself with the mission when I was getting frustrated Watched a doc about Walt Disney while working. Made me refocus on why I’ve wanted to be an entrepreneur: the magic of turning an idea…
Day 3 of building a self-growth app(?): well today I've poked some holes into one of my core features 🤡. Decided to redesign aspects of it to strengthen the moat. I know moving fast to get things out is encouraged. But I believe first impressions really DO matter to users.
Its crazy how much easier market research has gotten with LLMs
