A year out of academia/higher ed, and one of the major losses is easy access to knowledge. Work in my fields (philosophy and theology) seems still rarely open, accessible, and/or affordable.
I habitually only use dark color themes, but I'm really enjoying writing with github.com/erikbackman/mi… in emacs. Great light theme for writing in Org.
Code Insights is a fantastic tool. Coming out of higher ed, I'd be interested to see how researchers in CS and critical code studies could leverage it or how teachers could facilitate student research with it

I've mostly been writing Python and R for data science things for the last while (and love it), but it is a different sort of magical and satisfying experience to make things happen on a screen with HTML/CSS/JS, especially learning a new framework (Nuxt rn)
