New Zealand has just halved its emissions target! A country once seen as a climate leader is now walking backwards into collapse. This is what betrayal looks like — polished, polite, and deadly. theguardian.com/world/2025/oct…

Elon Musk @elonmusk on the need to lean in the direction of sustainable energy: “The reality of the whole climate change thing is that, you know, you've just had sort of people who say it doesn't exist at all, and then people who say... the world is going to be underwater in…

Most EV co’s don’t have anywhere near the grass roots excitement that Aptera has. In fact I can’t think of any, other than Tesla and maybe Rivian at some point.

That's the spirit. As soon as @aptera_motors is producing & delivering vehicles, $10/share will look cute. >50k customers already pre-ordered and evangelizing daily. Haven't seen this much customer excitement for a vehicle since Tesla's original Model 3.

Lithium is NOT scarce. Let me explain it once again. I agree that we should make cities better by using less cars, but the claim that we cannot replace combustion cars with EVs due to lithium is untrue @haugejostein. E.g. the IEA is only warning scaling up is needed.

Lithium is one of the most vital metals for the green transition. But do we have enough lithium to sustain growth in clean energy production? Several mineral, energy, and research organisations expect global demand for lithium to outstrip global supply around 2030, based on…

They won’t. SpaceX is moving like lightning compared to the rest of the space industry. Moreover, Starship will end up doing the whole Moon mission. Mark my words.

Hey Aptera fans, it's public listing day, I hope you have diamond hands, because it could get pretty rough. I suggest logging off if you are easily spooked.

Given they just secured the funding they need for low volume production, this is a bold claim, bookmarked, good luck with your prediction. x.com/FanBoyforElon/…

With such a small light-weight product, Aptera should have more than prototypes at this point. They have shown they will never make it to production, at any scale.

Now that Aptera has secured the funding they need for low volume production the outlook for their direct listing on the 16th is significantly improved.

I love Aptera but I expect the public listing to be a bloodbath, all other EV startups are down 90% or more after going public. I'll wait out the drop before buying.

I think the Tesla powerwall is pretty expensive. ($1000/kWh while I can get something very similar for $200/kWh) But apart from that Jesse is completely "on the money" imho. Batteries will give the grid extraordinary powers.

1 Powerwall per person could run all of California on solar overnight. Population ~40M Powerwall - 13.5 kWh Total - 540 GWh Average daily demand - 762 GWh (2024)

Sad to see New Zealand doubling down on coal stockpiles for dry years when installing more solar and wind would allow our hydro storage to go further and lower electricity prices.
