Together with churches large and small across the land we are ringing the bells of Cuxton muffled for the funeral of HM The Queen. The tenor is half muffled so you will hear a solitary note. We are also tolling the tenor at Halling.
This morning we shall be ringing our bells half muffled to remember those who have laid down their lives for us in Cuxton and beyond. It is a mournful sound where one half of the sound you hear is muffled by a piece of leather. We will remember.
Following the death of HRH The Duke of Edinburgh, the tenor bell will be tolled 99 times at noon, once for each year of his life. We will be joining bell towers across the nation and Commonwealth. The tenor bell is the largest of St Michael’s 6 bells.
Tonight at 7pm, along with bells across the land, we will toll the bells for 7 mins to show solidarity with Notre Dame.

Tonight we joined bells all over the land and rang out #cuxton bells in celebration of peace just as bellringers did 100 yrs ago. We will remember them.
