There’s this calmness that comes with worshiping God in the face of adversities. I pray we all grow in faith to that level of peace.

And truly, all I am and want to be is an ordinary servant who hopes to do only his duty.

My goal is that when He comes back he says to me: ´well done, good and faithful servant’.

The private collaboration between author and reader is so beautiful to me. A stranger writes a book full of words and I get to paint it in my mind. How wonderful.

I genuinely feel there is a kind of “innocent selfishness” that accompanies grief. On the one hand, we find ourselves thinking, “I wish you had loved me enough to live,” while also understanding the reality that those who have passed had no control over life and death.

…And in the words of Andrew Fitz-Gibbons, ‘If death is merely a negation of life, then it has no separate existence. And why should I be afraid of that?’

I know of no better life purpose than to perish in attempting the great and impossible; to know You more than I know myself.
