I see you. I hear you. And I am SO sorry that you’ve experienced this kind of disgusting behavior. I know you don’t know me, but I’m 100% behind you as a West cluster theatre alum.

Players became so toxic and harmful for me, my life’s passion was destroyed in the space of a year. Shepton, West-step the HELL up. Demand better from your staff. These stories should have NEVER taken place under your watch. Your silence speaks volumes.
Long story short the environments in the theatre departments at Shepton and Plano West were toxic and sexist and the teachers allowed it. They rewarded bad behavior with leading roles. They loved the drama.
I am so sorry that you were treated like this & to hear that I wasn’t the only one treated like shit (my experiences being among the more mild in Players). Thank you for being brave enough to speak out, it takes such courage.

Mac and Darce were disgusting human beings to me & ruined my passion for theatre. Their behavior was unacceptable. Hearing these brave individuals share their stories is disgusting. I hate that my suspicion of the “culture” was right. Shame. On. You.
Ms. Mac needs to be included in all of this. In my opinion she was the worst of them all at letting this just happen without consequences.
