One of my favorite habits: If someone I respect recommends a book, I buy it immediately, no questions asked. Now I just need a habit of reading all these books I have lying around.

LLM observability platforms have useful features for tracking usage in terms of tokens and dollars. Self-hosted models are typically treated as zero cost, but that’s not really true. Would be interesting to track, eg inference FLOPS as a proxy for cost. @langfuse


“Reach for the moon; if you fail, you’ll land among the stars”… This cliché ignores the very real possibility of tripping over your own feet as you step out the door.
