There are truly horrendous happening in our world, we can’t diminish this. We are right to pray and help where we can. But have no fear! God's eternal kingdom will ultimately rule. The Son of Man will have an everlasting dominion that will never pass be destroyed.
If you've ever wondered why people often do a Daniel Fast for 21 days, read Daniel 10:2. Most fasts recorded in the Bible are complete fasts, which means no food and only water. However, there are also examples of people abstaining from specific foods or eating a limited diet.
It's all too easy to blame others for our problems or the current mess we see on the evening news and our social media feed. But that won't get us anywhere. What if we followed the example of Daniel? Instead of our natural reaction, we could turn to prayer and fasting.
Have you ever received a thought, vision, or prompt, but weren't sure what to do with it? Understanding is key when it comes to these experiences. Following the pattern we see in the Bible, interpretation should be grounded in prayer and align with God's truth.
As we stand for righteousness, we shouldn't be alarmed by ungodly influences on the earth. God has not forgotten us, and His plans will prevail.
One of our greatest challenges is to walk out our faith daily in all areas of life. Sometimes this forces us to swim against the current to remain holy and set apart. You can trust the Lord for deliverance even if you're misunderstood, mistreated, or falsely accused.
What does excellence look like for you? Does it mean being perfect? Do you have to avoid all mistakes to qualify as excellent? Or do you think excellence requires money and expensive resources? Daniel had an undeniable spirit of excellence that wasn’t any of these things.
We're all prone to pride; it's part of our fallen human nature. Proverbs 16:18 says, "Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall." Ask the Lord to reveal any areas of pride in your life.
