Had an interesting debate this evening via Zoom with @ProfMadhuku concerning the law of parliamentary recall and its implications for electoral democracy. Our hosts were @ercafrica with @lindamuriro moderating. I think it was productive. Hopefully they will share the video.
So now that i hve finished all 13 Episodes of the series. Allow me to Say For Life is the best 2020 Series😎✌🏽
Workers Day activity Today in Ward 17, we identified families that are not able to provide basic foodstuffs for themselves These include child headed families, disabled, elderly, widows and widowers
Thank you @CityofBulawayo today we got water ePumula East! The time table always says Wednesday but we never get it, was pleasantly shocked! Siyabonga
If you suspect that you are in an abusive relationship, these are the signs to consider: •feeling demeaned •being threatened •and being excessively controlled by your partner @GBVnet @HealZim @trocaire @speak_campaign @PactWorld @SWRGNZim @womensvoicezw
Good idea. We thought boarding schools like Milton and others would be easier to prepare...than ZITF. United College of Education have the ablutions and beds and may be quicker.
A #JustRecovery from #covid-19 means: 🌡️Put people's health first 🌍Help people directly, not corporations ☀️Create resilience to future crises 🌻Build community solidarity Add your name if you agree. I have: 350.org/just-recovery/ @PTChimusoro @ZimYouthSDGs @sithabilegandi
Well said. We should desist from just criticising for the sake of it, but strive to make constructive criticism.
#iam4byo @iam4byo @BusisaMoyo How can communities within their structures build resilience mechanisms without movement #LockdownZim food shortages are a reality and needs to be addressed donations might come but they are not sustainable @Youth4SDGsZim @byopra
An SMS system will be more useful to those using dum phones
We hope this can help., we are working flat out to get more languages
Not my words but have been a gentle reminder, " The time of the lone wolf is over. Gather yourselves! Banish the word struggle from your attitude and your vocabulary. All that we do now must be done in a sacred manner and in celebration. We are the people we are waiting for!
As u go abt the great initiative, plz be mindful of 1)having enuf beds yet no adequate trained health staff to lk afta patients 2) testing testing testing is critical 3)striking a balance between people staying home and at the same time not dying of hunger.#iam4byo @BusisaMoyo
If we are for real with collecting data then @MoHCCZim needs to do Mass testing , small samples will lead us astray and give wrong impression , ward and district level testing is the only solution
.@MoHCCZim reports a third Coronavirus patient died in Zimbabwe today, a 50-year-old male at Wilkins Hospital in Harare. Of the 410 tests conducted so far, the country has recorded 11 positive #COVID19 cases and three deaths.
Mass testing at district and ward level . Then data will make sense otherwise we will loose more lives that can be saved @MoHCCZim @InfoMinZW
Not testing more people will give you a wrong data impression. You have 11 cases and 3 people die that is a mortality rate of 27%,which means we have the most lethal form of COVID-19 in Zimbabwe.
All of those and the ones that he mingled with before he showed symptoms of the infection , I am sure as a people if we are to be honest with ourselves Byo needs to define its own strategy led by the people for the people @byopra @wildtrustzim @skhumoyoward17
So now it's him, the people at the hospital as well as the people at the old people's homewhefe he was staying .It's a big number.
It has reported a death days later. How many cases are not being tested and are positive or Negative ?
Please try and be as safe as possible 🙏 Apparently Bulawayo has reported its first Covid-19 Case (Death)
The actual account is not yet clear but he was treated in Bulawayo , several social media reports are claiming different account but bottom line is the chain of people who are not mentioned , ward based testing should be priorities @kubatana @khumbumaphosa
Is he or was he the 11nth case. How do we account for his test. Worse still there's a chain of contacts. Mo worrying is that it presumably happened in Hwange & who else was in contact with the host.
A 79-year-old male resident of Bulawayo passed away in hospital on Saturday. Today, @MoHCCZim announced his #Covid19 test results, amongst the 21 samples they tested today. Zimbabwe's Coronavirus Statistics as of 7 April 2020: Tested: 392 Positive: 11 Negative: 381 Deaths: 2
There are so many ways but the simplest is daily routine contact, from the suspected date of infection to the time of death , this will also include people around him
