Two and a half years ago we reported a leak in our living room roof to our landlord. This is what we are obligated to do via our rental agreement and he is, both morally and legally, obligated to sort it. He did nothing. In March of this year, the ceiling collapsed. 1/x
Man. I grew up watching Friends every night with my family. Then when I found out Matthew Perry fought through addiction, became sober, and dedicated time and energy to helping other addicts, my respect for him skyrocketed. I’m gutted. We lost a great one.
Parents, I am begging you to look at your family. Look at your children, grown or not. Read this and see who that is, and for the love of that child, help them, and heal them. Those of us past that point of intervention- we have work to do.

Doctors, the world is losing trust in you. All of you. This should be the biggest of red flags. No one should go in seeking care and be fearful of the healer meant to help them.
NEVER admit to being lonely in an ER. Everything you say can and will be held against you. Never talk about trauma, medical harm, supplements, recreational consciousness alteration, infrastructure disasters, grief, loss, your PhD...

When you're an autistic person you have to take neurotypical people's comforting lines of "I'm sure it'll be fine" with a giant mountain of salt, especially when it comes to social interactions and how you'll be received. I always get friendly-tricked into believing it. 🤦
Thisssss.
