Thoughts and prayers to everyone who has to work on the outage yesterday

I have a little over a month before DEFCON. Let me get my act together 😂

Am I ready for advent of cyber on @RealTryHackMe to start? No. Am I going to let that stop me from logging on every day of this challenge and learning something new? Also no 😂 #AdventOfCyber #bringiton

Why is @RealTryHackMe down right now? 😭 I just want to learn about cybersecurity and extend my streak

My main stakeholder today told me to never let anyone silence my voice as a #designer. I haven't considered myself one of those in years, but perhaps it's time to get inspired and make stuff on the side again 🤔

Every platform allows you to write long-form posts now, and I just...can't. The most important bits need to be above the fold or I must scroll

I'm struggling with one of my side projects, so I had to hop back onto Tryhackme so I could feel that rush of dopamine when I get an answer right 😂

Learning by doing is often the way

Degrees don't open as many doors as communities do.

So many organizational processes are good in theory and not in practice. Surveys, focus groups, office hours, AMAs, town halls, etc are just tools. If your culture doesn’t allow people to feel safe and listened to, the tools don’t matter #workculture

That one episode of #AbbottElementary where the #edtech program was really hard for the teachers to understand is an example of not incorporating the users into the building of something 😅

Design isn't a form of personal expression. The design isn't about you (or your team). It's about the people who will be using it.

Me & documentation #workculture

Don't sleep on documentation So many things can be optimized with adequate documentation: 👉🏿 Onboarding new employees 👉🏿 Refining processes 👉🏿 Uncovering knowledge gaps It may seem like extra work, but documentation can help you and your colleagues level up down the line.

Remember you have no obligation to maintain the same opinions you has 6 months ago. You have no obligations to maintain the same opinions you had 6 days ago. You should evolve. Your ideas should change. It’s called growth.

This is a cheat code for both work and life. Also it’s my birthday and if this past year has taught me anything, it’s when to ask for help 😅

Be humble enough to ask for help & wise enough to use it.

💯Your attention is one the most valuable things you can give-especially on the internet. Your social feed can look like whatever you want it to and you don't have to give anyone attention that you feel doesn't deserve it.

Be humble enough to ask for help & wise enough to use it.
