Indie dev, running a few SaaS/apps. Hate smoking.
Quit-smoking app - Day #3 done: - finished the onboarding screen (but it’ll probably need revisions later) today’s tasks: - I will continue working on the home screen btw, I bought new phones and set up TikTok accounts, hope they go well. even though I already have other…
Create your own content if you want to grow sustainably on TikTok, instead of using these cheap tricks. I’ve blocked all the accounts that advertise in comments like this. It’s really annoying.
The reality with subscription-based apps is that users often cancel their plans and then renew them only when needed, instead of keeping the subscription active continuously. I’m the same — I usually cancel my subscription and only renew it when I need it, rather than letting it…
Day #2 of building a public project: a quit-smoking app Completed: - detailed specs for the app Today’s task: - build the onboarding screens Btw, I had trouble with HMA yesterday which caused half of my TikTok accounts to expose their real IPs in my country. I'm actively…
I think that’s more like the art of high-level selling
No shade to Marc but I looked through all of his businesses and seems like he makes most of his money selling a dream to indie hackers and NGMIs in buildinpublic. Selling shovels instead of mining gold.
Hello everyone, I’ve been doing solo indie development for a while, but I’ve always done it alone. Today, I’ve decided to start building in public for my upcoming products. I hope to meet and connect with many people who share the same vision. Day 1: - Submitted a new free app…
My HMA just automatically switched to a different U.S. state and exposed my real IP, causing my TikTok video to show to users in my own country. Has anyone else experienced this?
Apps that identify dangerous animals or plants carry extremely high risks. There is no guarantee that they are completely accurate. Users could be in danger if they trust the AI’s judgment, even when there is a disclaimer. I removed the app from both the App Store and Google…
Almost all of my traffic comes from TikTok — I haven’t spent a single dollar on ads. And here’s how I do it. Old phones in my country are quite cheap, only around $40–$50 each. There’s no need to buy an iPhone X. I only use a 7 Plus and even a 6s. As long as it works, that’s…
POV: If you don’t integrate AI into your product, you will be left behind. Almost all next-generation products are integrated with AI.
I often have difficulty accessing information about new technologies. love github feed 🥰
quit my job 😅
We're about to enter the last month of 2025. What have you really achieved this year?
Marketing on TikTok is almost never predictable. I post content targeting the US, but it ends up going viral in Pakistan, and no one here has bought anything yet. TikTok’s algorithm keeps changing — it’s really interesting.
When I first started, everything felt difficult, and I had no idea how far I could go. Six months passed — I launched a few SaaS/apps. Most of them failed, but I kept going. I’ll stay persistent until I succeed. btw, a morning cup of coffee for an energetic day.
Do it scared. Do it alone. Do it tired. Do it early. Do it late. Just do it.
Most of the low ratings I receive come from users complaining about why the app isn’t free. I really want to make it free too, but I need to earn a living — please understand.🙏
once you get to $30k a month you'll realize two big things... 1st: life costs 10x more than you thought outside of your mom's basement and 2nd: taxes are railing you back into the middle class
Once you get to $30k a month - you can eat where you want - stay in nice hotels - get a maid - go out - business class flights - drive nice cars - move outta your moms crib - wear expensive clothes your lifestyle will be fucking crazy keep going bro
helpful but rated 2 stars — being an indie dev is full of thorns, I feel like crying. 🥲
