It’s publication day. ‘Walk On: Inside Arne Slot’s Liverpool’ is available online and in book shops. A big thank-you to @VirgilvDijk @Carra23 @henrywinter and @Realaldo474 for the support. Means a lot. #LFC
Alexander Isak is set to return to training today, Arne Slot reveals.
Allowed to operate in the spaces where he announced himself as a world-class talent, Florian Wirtz created more chances and covered more ground than any other player against Real Madrid. Using him off the left is a solution to a lot of Liverpool's issues. davidlynchlfc.co.uk/p/slot-has-fou…
There's no question it has been a challenging start to the season for Arne Slot, but the last two games have shown why any talk of his position being under pressure was total nonsense. An elite manager. youtube.com/watch?v=aQGLGI…

SLOT OUT? NO CHANCE! | Liverpool 1-0 Real Madrid reaction
Liverpool got absolutely everything they deserved tonight. A fantastic, gritty, classy performance against one of the best teams in Europe and a reminder that the talk of this team’s demise was massively premature.
This referee has been doing a good job of shielding Real Madrid’s back four tonight. Definitely needs to work on not getting in the way of the play, I’d say.
Miserable conditions here at Anfield for the visit of Real Madrid. That might suit Liverpool, who will be looking to make it as hostile as possible for their illustrious visitors this evening.
Really nice from Xabi Alonso on Florian Wirtz: “He’s a really special player. He has the quality, he has the personality…I have no doubts with Flo. Probably one of the reasons I am here (at Real Madrid) is Flo.”
Alexander Isak, Jeremie Frimpong and Alisson Becker still out for Real Madrid. Isak in with a chance for Sunday's visit to Manchester City.
Curtis Jones is back in Liverpool training.
I don't think a lucky win would've done anything for Liverpool tonight, they desperately needed to put on an improved performance as well. And Arne Slot got that as his team ended up fully deserved winners thanks to the sort of controlled 2-0 win we saw so often last season.
Liverpool to face Aston Villa: Mamardashvili, Bradley, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson, Szoboszlai, Gravenberch, Mac Allister, Salah, Ekitike, Gakpo. Subs: Woodman, Pecsi, Gomez, Endo, Kerkez, Wirtz, Chiesa, Nyoni, Ngumoha.
Anfield under the lights for what feels like a big one. For all the mitigating factors, Liverpool can’t keep losing games.
Yesterday, Arne Slot pushed back on his explanations for Liverpool’s poor form being described as excuses - does he have a point? For @TheiPaperSport. inews.co.uk/sport/football…
Ryan Gravenberch trained yesterday and should be available to face Aston Villa. Curtis Jones and Alexander Isak weren't involved and "99.9% won't be in the squad", Arne Slot says.
Marc Guehi made twice as many passes into the final third (18) as any player last night. But, as much as Liverpool need a passer at the back, they’re also facing an unprecedented aerial bombardment each week. So, would he still be a smart signing? davidlynchlfc.co.uk/p/would-guehi-…
Speaking post-match, Arne Slot did not waver in his belief that his selection tonight was the right one. But he will surely only be proven right if Liverpool get desperately needed results and performances against Aston Villa, Real Madrid and Man City. youtube.com/watch?v=Fz0Kjq…
