Morgan Rielly is still going to get insane criticism as if it's entirely his job to carry the Leafs to Lidstrom esq defence.
Last 5 games: Vegas- 1-3-1 Toronto- 3-2-0 Florida- 3-2-0 NJ- 3-2-0 End the season, the Leafs are doomed, and the Panthers, Devils, & Knights are cup contenders.
I think the only way for the Leafs to get out of this funk is strap amulets to all the defensemen, and only feed them kale.
Easton Cowan has drawn 10PIMS this season. Matthews/Nylander/Knies/Tavares have drawn 18PIMS combined. Matthews & Nylander each have drawn 2 PIMS this year. How do you even explain that? You can't. One is tied for 4th in league scoring, the other 3G away from 1st in goals scored.
