After 11 months of waiting, it's still hard to believe that I received my very first NIA grant award! I will be spending the next two years focusing on how daily stress processes and affect are associated with inflammation for older men and women 🥳

I'm excited to say my first dissertation study has been accepted for publication in #ncfr_familyrelations, just in time for NCFR! More to come soon but I'm excited to see it finally coming to fruition!

Another #GSA2024 under wraps. So happy to have presented in an amazing symposium (led by Patrick Klabier and Theresa Pauly), co-chair another with an amazing colleague from Penn state (Dr. Maria Kurth) and sit in on co-authors presentations! Well done everyone-see you in Boston!

I was registered to vote in PA until I believe last month. Guess how many text messages I’ve received in the past 48 hours about the election.

What would be some seminal papers that talk about program evaluation?

Journal: “please review this paper for us. You have 21 days” Me: “yeah okay, I can do that” * 7 days later * Journal: actually we have enough information to make a decision so we don’t need your review anymore ???

I was discussing that the mean for a population sample is mu and how it’s pronounced. And then put a picture of the Pokémon mew two up and said “this is mew too”, as a means to reiterate how it was pronounced. Then loled for a minute realizing I made a dumb joke on accident.

Not naming names but accurate

Hi! I'm looking for accessible media (podcasts, short articles, etc) that discuss racism in terms of explicit/intentional/old-fashioned bias. So much of what is out there is framed in terms of implicit/unconscious/unintentional bias. Any interviews you're aware of? 1/2

I am begging my fellow relationship scientists: stop describing mixed-sex couples as "heterosexual" in your papers if you didn't actually measure sexual orientation. Please.

Loling at the fact that I dress like Jeanine from Abott Elementary for work (as a college professor)

Bruce (our dog) was no help yesterday when we caught a mouse chowing down on a newly opened bag of @SunChips in our house. Not even a sniff in its direction.

More gas options in Gainesville: - Circle K on 34th, about quarter mile N of 53rd Ave, has unleaded ONLY. (Station sign is down.) - Texaco on 34th, about quarter mile N of 39th Ave, has diesel ONLY.

Gas in Gainesville: The Marathon on 43rd and 441 still has gas. Wawa at 13th and 23rd does not have regular gas, only premium, ethanol-free, etc. #Milton
