Okay then, cawbird now suddenly works with Twitter. Definitely taking advantage of this for now.

Wow, the web UI for this has changed. So I can't even see latest tweets now? Time to submit to the algorithmic overlords then lol.

As Twitter is making their API paid, I have decided that it's not really worth checking here that much especially after the 9th of this month when these changes come into effect. I am far more active on Mastodon. My username is @destructatron@masto.destructatron.net,

It's my #Twitterversary! I have been on Twitter for 5 years, since 13 Jan 2018 (via @twi_age).

Setting up a #mastodon server is really, really hard. You do the slightest thing wrong and all the services start correctly, all looks good until you visit the page and it sits there failing to load. what's even more enfuriating… mastodon.social/@destructatron…

Looks like setting up mastodon (specifically hometown) is going to be harder than I thought. I first have to basically nuke away my docker infrastructure of reverse proxy and lets encrypt and move that all to the actual system, then install it… mastodon.social/@destructatron…

CW: GTK4 strikes again and a bit of a rant… mastodon.social/@destructatron…

I've been thinking of starting my own Mastodon instance for a while now, so I can have both a bigger character limit and also have control over my own server so i don't have to wait for someone else to fix their stuff. Is this actually a good idea if… mastodon.social/@destructatron…

So, I've been hearing a lot about a new version of Pinafore that's being updated with accessibility in mind. Could someone tell me the name or send the link to the github? I've tried searching and just got the original client.

Emacspeak is very interesting. Still can't figure out how to save settings like voice rate and other stuff though.

Everyone says on arch you get all the software you need. Well then, where's any kind of python speech dispatcher package? Not in the AUR and not in the repos. Pretty sure I can't install it with pip… mastodon.social/@destructatron…

Looks like Discord screwed up in the accessibility department again. Now I can't see my server list on Linux, both on the web client and the flatpak. This is really starting to annoy me.

It's that time of year again, and every new years eve I do a new year stream on my youtube channel. This time the 2 main games that will be played will be the road to rage ultimate and build to survive. The link and address to connect to… mastodon.social/@destructatron…

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you all have a fun and festive day. And to those of you on #joinin, I hope you all enjoy yourselves too.

Today marks a year since I made the plunge and switched to #Linux. After a year, I can safely say that I don't regret it. It's been a very interesting experience, and I've learned a lot along the way and generally become more knowledgeable with… mastodon.social/@destructatron…

Well then, looks like the synthizer python bindings are broken on Windows and Linux now. On Linux it would fail to build, now on Windows it's failing to download the wheel, tries to do the same thing Linux does, and just explodes.

I really don't get this. Fedora has emacspeak in its repos, so why doesn't it have espeakup and the necessary alsa configuration files to make it actually work?

So, I'm thinking about creating a reddit about Linux accessibility and have it serve as a general place to ask questions and get help on such things. I'm trying to think of a good name for it though. Something like linuxa11y maybe?

Does anyone still have ultra eloquence around somewhere? I'd like to use NVDA with eloquence on wine, but it appears I've lost the ultra eloquence.zip file.
