Have you ever got stuck in Vim? I'm not going to lie, that was my first experience with it.

Been migrating away from a Synology nas to a more power efficient mini pc running Proxmox. There was a bit of a learning curve, but now I've got all my local services up and running I couldn't be happier! 🤓

Spent this evening setting up a @goaccess report to be generated every hour with cron. It was a breeze. What an amazing project. ✌️

Been working a lot with websockets lately. It is incredibly satisfying watching 6 browser windows across two machines all react to an event at the exact same time 🤓

I always assumed LaTeX was just for mathematical notation. How wrong I was. Rewriting my CV with it has been a breath of fresh air.

Finally got around to pushing some updates to my website! This includes a blog post I wrote back in January about creating a toggle switch without any JavaScript! #100DaysOfCode barnz.dev/blog/toggle-sw…

While I might not be tweeting much lately, I am still hard at work. Toiling away on a rather large project at the moment. Hope everyone is having a good week ✌️

#100DaysOfCode Day 11: Fixed a bunch of tests to work with the new layout 👍 Jest is nice, but I think I prefer Jasmine & Karma 🤡

#100DaysOfCode Days 09 & 10: Been working on updating the UX for the new settings popup menu for my website. I want as much of it to work without JS as possible. Has been a fun exercise!

#100DaysOfCode Day 08: Did a lot of work on i18n this morning. Created a component to give credit to my amazing translator. Fixed a couple of contrast bugs when selecting custom accent colour. 🌐👍

#100DaysOfCode Day 07: Completed the mobile optimizations for the new settings menu. Few other things left to clean up then I can deploy the first update of the year. Along with a new blog post! 🤞🌍✍️

Guard clauses are beautiful 💂

#100DaysOfCode Day 05 & 06: Continued work on the responsive aspect of the new settings menu 📱🌍

#100DaysOfCode Day 04 & 05: Made some decent progress on a js-free popup menu for selecting language and theme. Built in such a way I can add additional options to it in future if needed. Now to clean it up and make sure it works on mobile. 📱

#100DaysOfCode Day 03: continued with the internationalization work for my website. Started work on a options menu to easily switch language 🌐

#100DaysOfCode Day 01 & 02: Been working on adding multilingual support to my website. Thankfully Hugo makes it super easy to do! 🌍🌐

Happy Christmas friends! 🎄🎅
