Receiving word from at least one counsel today that they are getting the 18mth PGWP Extension by letting IRCC know about pending program. If the cat is out of the hat, but selectively, this is problematic. Again, I do not advise any one with this Tweet. I just seek to inform.

So someone applied for regular work permit extension by quoting the pending 18 months extension policy and got the 18 month extn?
Again I cannot endorse this as a strategy. But the fact that it worked at least once and gave someone an 18 month extension is very worrisome, if it’s not been made clear it is available to everyone.
I am so wondering to see that they open the portal under TR to PR applications to extend the work permit but we are still waiting for the pgwp portal.... did they not see any backlog when they released tr to pr work permit extension?

This is just shameful! My friend who was excluded from the #PGWPextension as her PGWP expired in Dec 2021 got in touch with her MP office @KristyDuncanMP and the team member said "You can go back to your home country" @SeanFraserMP @CitImmCanada @nkeung @KevinVuongTO @CTVNews

Starting in mid-June, former international students in Canada whose post-graduation work permits expired or are expiring between Jan 31, 2022 and Dec 31, 2022, will be able to get an additional open work permit of up to 18 months duration.
Hon minister. Day in and day out thousands of temporary workers are staring down a barrel of being thrown out of this country due to expired or expiring work permits. #extendPGWP and #resumeCECdraws is a no brainier. Pls greet us with some positive news the coming week.
