Periodically, Compas checks if the defined Docker containers are still running and prompts to enable them again. Could be useful when you are running the Compas dev server of unrelated projects next to each other.
Released 🪄 Install with: npm install compas Try it out via: npx zakmes
Looks feature complete to me for a first release 🚀 ➡️ Resolve environment (dev, prod, ci) ➡️ Configs w/ workspace support and custom actions ➡️ Infra for file watching & caching all the things ➡️ Automatic config reloading

Oh boi, integrating a pseudo tty is kinda scary 😧 . There is node-pty, but that still requires managing a virtual space where process output should be written to, translating cursor movements and stuff...
Set up file watching and caching for the new Compas dev server. So now we reload the config on changes and warn you after a bit when the config is invalid. One of the last primitives before we start with the magic! 🪄
A small but important difference, the new compas cli automatically boots up in dev mode if no NODE_ENV is set, and explicitly writes out a .env file.
The basics of Compas config loading are done. It automatically creates a config file in the project root if no config is found. Also aiming to support monorepos from the start, so referencing projects is supported as well!
Haven't seen any Node.js frameworks do something like this. Could be an interesting way to go with Compas for a more integrated dev environment
The next version of Compas gets more condensed and readable event logs. And as a side effect, more easier to analyze as well.
Received some notifications of people their handles becoming available! Twitter is actually freeing up inactive handles. You can still sign up on chirp.blue and check for suggestions in the meantime while waiting.
